Effect of Nitroglycerin on Exercise-induced Abnormalities of Left Ventricular Regional Function and Ejection Fraction in Coronary Artery Disease Assessment by Radionuclide Cineangiography in Symptomatic and Asymptomatic Patients

چکیده
The effects of nitroglycerin (TNG) on exerciseinduced abnormalities of left ventricular wall motion and ejection fraction are unknown in symptomatic and asymptomatic patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). In the present investigation radionuclide cineangiographic studies were performed in 47 patients with CAD (14 without angina during exercise) and in 25 normal subjects. All CAD patients, including those without symptoms, demonstrated regional wall motion abnormalities during exercise. In all patients, ejection fraction (EF) also responded abnormally to ex-

Effects of coronary artery bypass grafting on left ventricular function assessed by multiple gated ventricular scintigraphy.
The effect of coronary artery bypass grafting on global left ventricular ejection fraction and regional contraction was studied in 56 consecutive patients with chronic stable angina pectoris by means of multiple gated ventricular scintigraphy at rest and during dynamic supine exercise before and six weeks after myocardial revascularisation. Before operation, exercise induced a significant fall ...

Cardiac angiography was introduced initially to provide qualitative information regarding anatomic abnormalities of the cardiovascular system. Subsequently, it became apparent that quantitative information derived from cineangiography could provide insight into abnormalities of the heart as well. Direct measurements of ventricular dimension, area, and wall thickness allow calculation of volume,...

To compare acute effects of nitroglycerin (0.8 mg sublingually), nifedipine (5 ng/kg/min i.v.) and metoprolol (0.15 mg/kg i.v.) on normal, ischemic and scarred myocardial segments in man, we performed simultaneous hemodynamic and radionuclide measurements of left ventricular function. Sixteen patients with isolated left anterior descending (LAD) disease were studied at rest and during exercise....
متن کاملPrediction of Changes in Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction after Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery by Myocardial Perfusion Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography
Introduction: Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) is considered to be the single most important prognostic factor in patients with previous myocardial infarction. LVEF is not improved in all patients after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). This study aimed to assess the possibility of prediction of LVEF changes after CABG using myocardial perfusion gated signle photon emission compu...
